Melons that miss the cosmetic grade lose none of their sweetness. We buy out-of-spec fruit from Lunbei growers and slow-dry it to hold the season's flavour — every pack is food that might otherwise have been wasted.

We buy directly from melon growers in Lunbei, Yunlin and process with local food manufacturers, so the value stays in the region. We also hope to bring the idea of not wasting food into local classrooms through food-and-farming education.

Culture ｜ Preserving a village's words
Buyu is the old name for Lunbei. We name our products in Zhao'an Hakka and keep the Hakka idea of “cherishing” on the packaging — preserved food that preserves not only flavour but a culture.

2,185kg
of out-of-spec melons — roughly 2,185 melons that were not thrown away.
A small melon weighs about a kilo — a 120 g gift box uses roughly one and a half of them, or a solid single medium-sized melon.

Mid-Autumn and Lunar New Year corporate gift boxes. Belly bands and stickers can be customised to the occasion, and every box carries a brand story card; wholesale pricing available at volume.

A dedicated discount code plus a single-page order form — staff order individually and receive delivery to a convenience store or their home. No admin burden on your side.

Meeting refreshments, guest gifts, event giveaways — our 10 g packs suit occasions that need a lot of small portions.

Sustainability reporting
After purchase we provide a sourcing impact statement: the growers and origin we bought from, plus an estimate of food waste avoided — written so you can cite it directly in your ESG or sustainability report.
